Last Friday, business owners, founders and professionals from across Wiltshire and Bath came together at the National Self Build & Renovation Centre for another inspiring TBN Wiltshire & Bath networking event. From the moment doors opened at midday, the room was already alive with conversation relaxed, open and full of energy.
At TBN, our events are about far more than swapping business cards. They’re about building real relationships. Throughout the afternoon we saw new collaborations begin, introductions spark ideas, and ideas turn into action. That’s exactly what TBN exists to do: create space for genuine, meaningful connection.
A Unique Venue & A Great Energy
The National Self Build & Renovation Centre offered a striking and memorable backdrop a place that naturally encouraged curiosity and conversation. Registration effortlessly blended into informal introductions, and by the time we officially kicked off at 12:30pm, it already felt like a community.
We welcomed attendees from a wide range of industries including marketing, construction, coaching, hospitality, technology and professional services. Different sectors, different experiences, yet one shared purpose: to build relationships and learn from each other.
A Very English Networking Twist
Networking doesn’t have to be pressured or awkward. Our afternoon tea proved exactly that.
Guests enjoyed:
-
Fresh scones with jam and cream (cue the jam-first vs. cream-first debate…)
-
A selection of sandwiches
-
Cakes and sweet treats
The atmosphere remained relaxed and full of laughter. Conversations flowed as easily as the coffee, and in many cases, connections continued long after the plates were cleared.
Thank You
A huge thank you to Chris Dawes, our fantastic host. Chris has a remarkable ability to make every person in the room feel welcome and involved. His warmth, humour and natural facilitation style set the tone for the afternoon and carried it beautifully.
We were also treated to an insightful and engaging presentation from Kristina House & Harvey Fremlin — “So you’ve been in business for a decade… what next?” Their talk was honest, thought-provoking and incredibly relevant. They encouraged us to step back from the day-to-day and think about what growth, legacy and future vision really mean after 10 years in business. Judging by the conversations that continued long after the presentation ended, it definitely resonated.
What People Said
“ I never felt like I was ‘selling’. It was just proper conversation.”
“The most welcoming networking group I’ve been to. People here get it.”
